The presentation introduces last years big changes in terms of communication and dissemination happened at EU level. With the scope of moving projects from archives to life space, all new programmes, such as Horizon 2020 for the research and Erasmus + for the education, promoted a relevant step forward, from communication to exploitation, passing through dissemination. Analysing different programmes approaches, the presentation focuses on the differences among programmes and on the needed tools for the challenge. In conclusion, it focus on the personal experience in disseminating COST Action results, also by benefitting ot the participation to the Europeana communicators' group
