Methods for eliminating critical races in asynchronous sequential circuits are described in the literature. This paper presents a method to realize race - free pulse - input asynchronous circuits by using a universal single transition time assignment. It is shown that for this class of asynchronous circuits the upper bound of internal variables obtained by the method proposed is drastically reduced when compared with that which would result by applying the methods already known.

Abstract
Methods for eliminating critical races in asynchronous sequential circuits are described in the literature. This paper presents a method to realize race - free pulse - input asynchronous circuits by using a universal single transition time assignment. It is shown that for this class of asynchronous circuits the upper bound of internal variables obtained by the method proposed is drastically reduced when compared with that which would result by applying the methods already known.File in questo prodotto:
