The EU 1 MW, 170 GHz gyrotron for ECH&CD on ITER has been developed by EGYC (European GYrotron Consortium) under the coordination of Fusion for Energy (F4E) and in cooperation with the industrial partner Thales Electron Devices (TED). The manufacturing of the first industrial continuous-wave (CW) prototype gyrotron, has been completed in November 2015 at TED. The tube was delivered to KIT and the experimental verification started in February 2016 in the short-pulse (SP) regime. Since October 2016 the gyrotron is in CW operation. In this work, details regarding the experiments at the MT test-stand with pulses up to 180 s are presented.

Abstract
In this work, details regarding the experiments at the MT test-stand with pulses up to 180 s are presented.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
