This study of a Zn-Bi-ln alloy enabled us to show that : I) An isothermal faceted to-non faceted solid-liquid equilibrium transition exists, induced by chemical interactions through the solid-liquid interface. 2) This F+NF transition occurs in the composition range where important changes in qSL values take place. 3) A simple relationship between the interfacial tension and the face~ng factor has been established for systems in which chemical adsorption at the interface could be neglected.
