Hierodula transcaucasica Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878 se registra en la isla de Skopelos (Sporades), dando la primera localidad exacta de esta especie para Grecia. Además, se dan los nuevos registros basados en fotos de Hierodula sp. para Kalmykia (Rusia), Ucrania y Grecia y los primeros para Macedonia e Italia. Se discute el problema de la atribución específica de estos especímenes a través de fotos y la cuestión de la eventual aloctonía de una o más especies de Hierodula en Europa.

Abstract
