We present some preliminary results on a test multi-tunnel junction (MTJ) AlGaAs VCSEL, obtained with a self-consistent electro-optical simulator, bridged with the non-equilibrium Green's function (NEGF) formalism to investigate the tunnel junctions. The electrical and optical characteristics are obtained after addressing some convergence issues of the Newton' solver related to the series of multiple junctions.

Abstract
