The paper reports on the results of the validation activity, presents examples of the developed S-1 SSM product over various sites and discusses possible integration with L-band SAR time series in the view of the availability of multi-mission and multi-frequency SAR data as those provided by S-1 and the forthcoming EU L-band Radar Observation System for Europe (ROSE-L) system (Davidson et al., 2019).
