Abstract
A new instrumental technique has been developed to enable minimising preferred orientation effects in powder diffraction intensity measurements on minerals with easy cleavage fracture. The method calls for using a conventional diffractometer with a modified sample-holder, by which it is possible to rotate the powder sample by a few degrees around the diffractometer horizontal axis to make diffraction measurements free of preferred orientation effects.File in questo prodotto:
