Abstract

Very often an analysis of the environmental state is carried out by splitting the two main matrices, the water matrix from the soil matrix, identifying them as completely independent worlds. In reality, they are inseparable and interconnected, with a continuous interchange of matter and energy, both chemical and microbiological, in a constant and very sensitive balance. The water cycle, for example, shows the indivisibility of the two matrices. In the last decade, the materials produced by the bioeconomy industry, through the processes of extraction / refining from biomass, including residues, and used in agriculture have represented one of the main problems with a series of cause / effect impacting on the soil and water matrices. The main objective therefore becomes to support procedures and activities that preserve, conserve and protect the optimal status, avoiding a radical change that would create disruption and consequent irreversible damage to soil and water microbiomes.
