Abstract
There is an increasing interest in developing experiments aimed at testing collapsemodels, in particular theContinuous LocalizationModel (CSL), the natural evolutionof the GRW model initially proposed by Ghirardi et al. [1-4]. Current experimentsand related bounds on collapse parameters are partially discussed in other contributionsin this review. Our aim here is to discuss some of the most promising directionstowards future improvements. The paper is organized as follows. In Sects. 2, 3, 4we will discuss noninterferometric techniques. In detail, in Sect. 2 we will discussmechanical experiments, bothwith conventional and levitatedmechanical resonators,in Sect. 3 we will consider proposed experiment looking at bulk thermal heating ofsolid bodies and in Sect. 4 we will briefly discuss the use of cold atoms or macroscopiccondensates. In Sect. 5 we will outline proposals of matter-wave interferencewith massive nano/microparticles. We will end in Sect. 6 with some ideas on howprecision experiments can be used for testing collapse models.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
