In this work, a gridded database was obtained from a rainfall dataset of 129 monthly seriescollected for the period 1951-2016 in the Calabria region (southern Italy). The Inverse DistanceWeighted (IDW) interpolation method was applied to build 603 rainfall grid series with a spatialresolution of 5 km × 5 km. In order to detect possible trends, for each grid point, the seasonal andannual rainfall series were analyzed with the Mann-Kendall non-parametric test and the Theil-Senestimator. Results showed a decreasing trend for the annual and winter-autumn rainfall and anincreasing trend for the summer one
