Characterization of waterproof surfaces in Rome, Baku and Tbilisi : considerations on the effects on the environment

The preliminary findings of a study conducted under the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy/Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)/ Georgia, Tbilisi State University (TSU), collaboration Agreement are shown in this paper. Through a comparative analysis of three highly different environmental realities in Italy, Azerbaijan and Georgia, this project aims to develop and improve remote sensing methodologies reproducible on a large scale to study environmental and landscape resources in their different territorial contexts.The project's objectives, common to all research groups, will be achieved by each group in their study areas: Rome, Baku, and Tbilisi, and then by comparison of the results obtained.
