Abstract

The preliminary findings of a study conducted under the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy/Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)/ Georgia, Tbilisi State University (TSU), collaboration Agreement are shown in this paper. Through a comparative analysis of three highly different environmental realities in Italy, Azerbaijan and Georgia, this project aims to develop and improve remote sensing methodologies reproducible on a large scale to study environmental and landscape resources in their different territorial contexts. The project's objectives, common to all research groups, will be achieved by each group in their study areas: Rome, Baku, and Tbilisi, and then by comparison of the results obtained.
