In this work, a NiFe2O4 sample was prepared and used in combination with a Pt/C catalyst as bifunctional air electrode for a Fe-air battery. The activity of the nickel ferrite catalyst was studied in a 3-electrode half-cell configuration, i.e. the rotating disk electrode (RDE), both for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The results were compared with those obtained with benchmark catalysts (Pt/C, IrO2).

Abstract
In this work, a NiFe2O4 sample was prepared and used in combination with a Pt/C catalyst as bifunctional air electrode for a Fe-air battery. The activity of the nickel ferrite catalyst was studied in a 3-electrode half-cell configuration, i.e. the rotating disk electrode (RDE), both for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The results were compared with those obtained with benchmark catalysts (Pt/C, IrO2).File in questo prodotto:
