An unprecedent one-pot photochemical method for the preparation of water-soluble and photothermal nanosized Cobalt(II/III)-oxide nanoparticles capped with ?-cyclodextrin (?-CD/Co3O4) is here reported. This nanomaterial showed the ability to trigger a photothermal-induced enzymatic reaction and in situ formation of gold nanoparticles. High water solubility and good photothermal conversion efficiency in a wide wavelength range make the ?-CD/Co3O4 nanoparticles promising candidates for photothermal applications in the biomedical field.

Abstract
An unprecedent one-pot photochemical method for the preparation of water-soluble and photothermal nanosized Cobalt(II/III)-oxide nanoparticles capped with ?-cyclodextrin (?-CD/Co3O4) is here reported. This nanomaterial showed the ability to trigger a photothermal-induced enzymatic reaction and in situ formation of gold nanoparticles. High water solubility and good photothermal conversion efficiency in a wide wavelength range make the ?-CD/Co3O4 nanoparticles promising candidates for photothermal applications in the biomedical field.File in questo prodotto:
