Abstract
In this paper an ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) multistatic radar is considered as a good candidate for reliable rail crossing surveillance systems. Through realistic ray tracing simulations and suitable signal processing, the impact of obstacle scattering characteristics on its detection and localization is investigated. It is shown how low values of the scattering parameter could significantly deteriorate the imaging capability of the system when the classical 4-receivers configuration is adopted.File in questo prodotto:
