The paper presents the results of experimental laboratory tests performed on a three-leaf stone masonry wall coated by a plaster simulating various compositions and finishing works, aimed at pointing out the influence of execution techniques on the adhesion of frescoes connected to structural elements under loading. In particular, the wall was subjected to cyclic uniaxial compression test and, contextually, non-destructive (ND) and visual procedures, i.e., infrared thermography (IRT) and laser scanning system were used to monitor the crack pattern of the masonry. Results showed the good response of frescoed portions compliant with proper practice in comparison with the ones executed with lower quality. ND techniques showed also a good consistency in detecting the cracking development during loading until failure occurred.

Abstract
ND techniques showed also a good consistency in detecting the cracking development during loading until failure occurred.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
