The paper presents the results of geophysical surveys carried out in three large monumental complexes in Hierapolis to document their still-buried structures. in particular, different geophysical techniques (Ground-Penetrating radar, electrical resistivity Tomography, Magnetometry and Seismic refraction Tomography) were integrated to collect new data for the reconstruction of the layout of the porticoes surrounding the civil agora and the Gymnasium. Furthermore, in the apollo Sanctuary, combining the geophysical techniques and the recently acquired architectural data, it was possible to better understand the tectonic context of the sacred site and to document the relationship between the seismic fractures and building a, whose podium rested on them.

Abstract
The paper presents the results of geophysical surveys carried out in three large monumental complexes in Hierapolis to document their still-buried structures. in particular, different geophysical techniques (Ground-Penetrating radar, electrical resistivity Tomography, Magnetometry and Seismic refraction Tomography) were integrated to collect new data for the reconstruction of the layout of the porticoes surrounding the civil agora and the Gymnasium. Furthermore, in the apollo Sanctuary, combining the geophysical techniques and the recently acquired architectural data, it was possible to better understand the tectonic context of the sacred site and to document the relationship between the seismic fractures and building a, whose podium rested on them.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
