A general method is described for the design of industrial actuators based on shape memory alloys, applied to real cases. Some rules are also introduced to design fatigue-proof actuators and increase their reliability. Aspects related to form setting and the optimization and customization of the thermomechanical properties of these elements are therefore introduced. The chapter ends with techniques to train the material to improve the reliability of the products.
