The paper provides an overview of the supply of marbles in imperial-age Hierapolis. Five public buildings, with both civic and religious functions, and the so-called Tomba Bella are investigated. The data gathered help to complete the general panorama regarding the criteria adopted by public and private patrons of architecture in the period from the 1st to the 3rd centuries AD.
