Noise risk in the audible frequencies in the range 20 Hz ÷ 20 kHz is well defined at international level, but in the infrasound region just below 20 Hz, there is not an unique criteria and international agreement to define the infrasound risk. This study is aimed to analyze and compare different country legislations, standards and guidelines issued by international organizations in order to provide a review, pointing out positive features and limitations, as well as perspectives for further development.

Abstract
Noise risk in the audible frequencies in the range 20 Hz ÷ 20 kHz is well defined at international level, but in the infrasound region just below 20 Hz, there is not an unique criteria and international agreement to define the infrasound risk. This study is aimed to analyze and compare different country legislations, standards and guidelines issued by international organizations in order to provide a review, pointing out positive features and limitations, as well as perspectives for further development.File in questo prodotto:
