The Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm aims to build a global network infrastructure for discovering and interconnecting billions of smart devices. One of the most critical application domains for IoT is Domotics: thanks to the entry of big new players, such as Google and Amazon, Domotics has received new impetus. However, Domotics and IoT still suffer from the existence of disparate non-interoperable systems and devices that are unable to communicate with each other. In this survey, we analyze the different approaches to achieving interoperability between domotic platforms existing today in the scientific and commercial worlds.

Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm aims to build a global network infrastructure for discovering and interconnecting billions of smart devices. One of the most critical application domains for IoT is Domotics: thanks to the entry of big new players, such as Google and Amazon, Domotics has received new impetus. However, Domotics and IoT still suffer from the existence of disparate non-interoperable systems and devices that are unable to communicate with each other. In this survey, we analyze the different approaches to achieving interoperability between domotic platforms existing today in the scientific and commercial worlds.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
