Metal–diamond–metal vertical structures were realized and tested under a modulated 8.06 keV X-ray beam. AC photocurrent versus applied voltage curves were used to evaluate the mobility-lifetime product of collected charges whereas the density of states was achieved from the modulated photocurrent in the 7–900 Hz range. Abstract

The influence of the modulation frequency and electric field strength on the device performance is discussed in the framework of multi-trapping carriers transport.
