We investigate in this work the soil moisture retrieval from P-band polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. In particular, the analyzed SAR data were collected during a helicopter-borne campaign conducted over the Apulian Tavoliere plain, Southern Italy, on July 2021. The soil moisture estimates, obtained through the Polarimetric Two-Scale Model (PTSM), are then synthetically compared with in-situ measurements collected at the same time of the radar survey.
