The paper analyzes Socratic and Stoic sources of this Life, particularly focusing on Plato's Symposium and Alcibiades I, Aeschines of Sphettos' and Antisthenes of Athens' dialogues, as well as the Stoic Cleanthes of Assos' writings.
La "Vita di Alcibiade" di Plutarco è un esempio dell'influenza esercitata dalla letteratura socratica sul tardo ellenismo e la prima età imperiale attraverso la diffusione della letteratura morale stoica.
