A comparative investigation between the TCV and ASDEX-Upgrade (AUG) tokamak on the role of separatrix turbulent parameter ?t in setting Scrape Off Layer profiles and trasported is reported. We provide evidences that at higher values of ?t, where the plasma around the separatrix is more resistive balloning unstable, an increase of near and far SOL decay length is observed accompained as well by an increase of heat flux as inferred from target measurement. The increase of ?n and ?q is accompained by an observed increase of heat flux towards the first wall as estimated by calorimetric measurements and AUG. Strong indication of an enhanced contribution of filamentary transport at higher ?t is reported as indicated by the increase filamentary frequency in the far SOL.
