A quali-quantitative study of enzymes occurring during the ontogenesis of digestive tract (otal proteases, pepsin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, carboxypeptidases A and B, amylase, lipase and elastase) was carried out in Pagellus erythrinus larvae in order to follow the digestive processes during the larval development. Enzyme levels increase with age, with changes in the relative contribution of acid and alkaline proteases that well reflected the morphological differentiation.

Abstract
A quali-quantitative study of enzymes occurring during the ontogenesis of digestive tract (otal proteases, pepsin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, carboxypeptidases A and B, amylase, lipase and elastase) was carried out in Pagellus erythrinus larvae in order to follow the digestive processes during the larval development. Enzyme levels increase with age, with changes in the relative contribution of acid and alkaline proteases that well reflected the morphological differentiation.File in questo prodotto:
