The aim of supporting sustainable development policies with a low environmental impact in Campania region was to stimulate research aimed at enhancing agricultural and territorial resources (biomass crops, agro-industrial waste) for the production of green energy and to restore the agronomic fertility of degraded and polluted soils, including the use of phyremediation. To identify the areas suitable for the production of lignocellulosic biomass, territorial analyses were carried out to verify the availability in Campania region of agroforestry and lignocellulosic residues. Moreover, some of the available biomass (poplar and giant reed) have been enhanced in bioconversion processes, through the use of hydrolytic enzymes as catalysts for the degradation of the polysaccharide component of lignocellulosic residues. The good yields in terms of reducing sugars obtained from the enzymatic degradation of biomass have made possible to identify the process as developable even in a wider field of application.

Abstract
The good yields in terms of reducing sugars obtained from the enzymatic degradation of biomass have made possible to identify the process as developable even in a wider field of application.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
