This paper presents a clinical implementation of a telemonitoring service for home ventilated patients. In particular, a methodology was defined for approaching the problem considering clinical and technological requirements as well as legal aspects mainly related to security and privacy of patient data. The use of design methodologies based on quality management (PDCA and process modelling) has been proved to be a valid approach for the clinical success of the telemedicine service.
