The process of compatibilized blending of recycled poly(ethylene terephtalate) (PET) and high density polyethylene(HDPE) with ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer (EGMA) was carried out on a pilot plant scale. The extrusion and orientation of films from the compatibilized blends were developed on an industrial line and the structure and properties of the films were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, DSC and DMTA. The occurrence of an oriented amorphous phase of PET was reported for the first time.

Abstract
The process of compatibilized blending of recycled poly(ethylene terephtalate) (PET) and high density polyethylene(HDPE) with ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer (EGMA) was carried out on a pilot plant scale. The extrusion and orientation of films from the compatibilized blends were developed on an industrial line and the structure and properties of the films were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, DSC and DMTA. The occurrence of an oriented amorphous phase of PET was reported for the first time.File in questo prodotto:
