In this paper we present the Bioenvironmental Laboratory for Engineering Scaling as tool for scaling up laboratory tests to pilot or prototype scale. The technology maturation has 9 levels that extend from the basic principles of technology new technology until you reach your tests successfully in a real environment. The first three levels (TRL 1-3) address the most basic technological research until reaching a first test of concept. Technological Development is carried out from the following levels until reaching a first prototype (TRL 4-6). TRL 6 establishes the validation of the system or subsystem in a relevant environment while TRL 7 establishes full validation and certification in a real environment. Relevant environment is understood to be an environment with conditions that approximate or they sufficiently simulate the conditions existing in a real or mission environment. TRL 8 addresses a complete and certified system through tests and demonstrations and TRL 9 establishes a system tested successfully in real environment. We propose to the Bioenvironmental Laboratory of engineering scaling as a prototype or a technology demonstrator that allows adapting the working conditions and variables to make it possible for technological maturity to reach the degree of innovation with TRL 6 -7. Two cases of engineering escalation are exposed in the areas of environmental biotechnology. Case 1 is about a Vegetable Purification Module for Phytoremediation of soils and waters contaminated by heavy metals developed in a PID FRSR UTN and case 2 is about bioleaching and bioaccumulation pools to test consortiums bacterial. In both cases, the variables and the working conditions chosen make it possible to go from "Simulated environment" to "real environment" to achieve the stated objectives.

Abstract
In both cases, the variables and the working conditions chosen make it possible to go from "Simulated environment" to "real environment" to achieve the stated objectives.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
