The study of cell activities, monitoring specific molecule behaviors, is of crucial importance for the deepening of the knowledge of cellular mechanisms. For this reason, the demand of biosensing probes capable to enter living cells and to be localized in definite cellular compartments is becoming more and more important. The intracellular biosensing probes are here described on the bases of the used biorecognition system and of the followed optical signal transduction.
