This report presents VandA, a metadata model for historical documentary audio-visual resources. This is a structured model able to provide a description of audio-visual resources that supports both a traditional archive access service and an advanced access service based on information acquired through the manipulation of the digital resources. The peculiar structuring of the model favours interoperability and renders it easily extensible to cover other application frameworks.
