The agreement signed between the Department of Earth Sciences (Sapienza University) and the DGSUNMIG sets the development of a series of scientific research activities to provide a better comprehension of the potential geological risks in the Italian offshore. The project started at the end of 2017 focusing on the development of the geological, geophysical and geo-hazard dataset. Several data have been collected, georeferenced, digitalized, and subsequently analysed in a 3D environment. The opportunity to visualize in a 3D environment geological data together with information about potential risks offers a unique tool to better constrain the potential geological hazards of the Italian offshore.
