In the last years the interest in camelina [Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz] has been growing thanks to its low agronomic input requirement, relatively short growing cycle and the possibility to use the end-products with a multipurpose approach, in fact camelina seed oil has a peculiar fatty acid composition, reporting high values of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and ?-linolenic acid, with high ratio of omega-3/omega-6 (Berti et al., 2016). Moreover, the defatted meal obtained by seed cold pressing can be used for feed applications, replacing the use of soybean meal (Zanetti et al., 2021). In addition to the peculiar oil composition, other parameters might be considered in order to integrate camelina meal as an innovative ingredient for animal feed (Pozzo et al., 2022), for example antinutritional profile should be investigated in order to undestrand more in deep how genotypes and environmental conditions can influence these parameters and eventually, adjust the agronomical practices to reduce their presence in the final product. In this scenario, three different camelina varieties were evaluated in a three-year trial at two locations in North and Centre of Italy, in the framework of the national project ARGENTO (PRIN 2017)
