Abstract

The Boundary Contour System (BCS) is a part of a computational model that is aimed to address the main issues in early vision processes, like boundary completion, grouping, brightness effects and soon. In this work we presenta parallel implementation of the BCS carried out by means of a workstation network under the control of the PVM system. The obtained results are compared with those obtained in a previous sequential implementation of the model. The efficiency of the distributed implementation is also discussed.
