The virtual capabilities of preventing motion blur of the spatio-temporal properties of the visual preprocessing are pointed out. As a major hypothesis about the deblurring neural mechanism, it is suggested that the on-center and off-center field systems could process in a suitably integrated way the visual information to remove that part of the spatial degradations of the input that in the Fourier domain corresponds to phase-displacements of the image spatial frequencies. A simulative experimentation of deblurring filters fitting the visual system characteristics has been carried out on a digital computer.

Abstract
The virtual capabilities of preventing motion blur of the spatio-temporal properties of the visual preprocessing are pointed out. As a major hypothesis about the deblurring neural mechanism, it is suggested that the on-center and off-center field systems could process in a suitably integrated way the visual information to remove that part of the spatial degradations of the input that in the Fourier domain corresponds to phase-displacements of the image spatial frequencies. A simulative experimentation of deblurring filters fitting the visual system characteristics has been carried out on a digital computer.File in questo prodotto:
