Italy holds the largest number of assets in the world inscribed on the UNESCO list, with 58 sites declared World Heritage Sites. The recognition of the exceptional universal value attributed to the national heritage commits Italy to guaranteeing the intellectual and financial resources needed to define appropriate measures and actions for the future management and safeguarding of our cultural identity for the next generations. This study day therefore aimed at opening a multidimensional discussion on the culturally and economically sustainable management of the UNESCO sites in Italy.
