Boulangerite is among the most common of the lead-antimony sulfosalts. Notwithstanding its widespread occurrence around the world, the specimens from the Bottino mine are probably the finest examples of the species. The mine is also the type locality for bottinoite and meneghinite, and despite its closure over 40 years ago it is still yielding specimens for collectors.
