Abstract
Pervaporation membrane reactors (PVMRs) represent an integrated separation system where a chemical (or biochemical) reaction is coupled with a membrane-based separation in a pervaporation unit. This hybrid process can offer a series of advantages in terms of investment costs reduction and higher operational performance. PVMRs are a consolidated technology in esterification reactions but encompass also condensation reactions, acetylation reactions, etherification reactions, and biochemical reactions where a series of products are generated from a microbial conversion.File in questo prodotto:
