Abstract

Modern vehicles extend their system components outside the typical physical body, relying on functionalities provided by off-board resources within complex digital ecosystems. Focusing on the service-based connection within automotive smart ecosystems, in this paper we present the method of predictive simulation, based on the synergistic combination of Digital Twin execution and interface-based testing approaches, used for building trust in the interactions between a safety critical system and third parties.
