Study of the surface emissivity bias resulting from the FEES in the desert case using the L2M_I inversion module as a simulator, both in clear sky and all sky conditions. In clear sky conditions we observed a negative bias that does not depend on the random seed, that corresponds to a positive bias on the surface temperature retrieval and that can be solved increasing the apriori error and changing the apriori at each iteration. We showed that the same solution does not work in all sky conditions.

Abstract
Study of the surface emissivity bias resulting from the FEES in the desert case using the L2M_I inversion module as a simulator, both in clear sky and all sky conditions. In clear sky conditions we observed a negative bias that does not depend on the random seed, that corresponds to a positive bias on the surface temperature retrieval and that can be solved increasing the apriori error and changing the apriori at each iteration. We showed that the same solution does not work in all sky conditions.File in questo prodotto:
