This book, with a collection of seven original contributions and three literature reviews, offersselect examples of photovoltaic and photonic applications of organic and hybrid materials. The firstreview by Prof. Sforazzini G. et al. presents a brief introduction to organic solar cells, discussing theprinciples for formation of free charges, and the requirement for a favorable morphology of the activelayer. The second review by Prof. Cabanillas Gonzalez J. et al. discusses the main developments inthe field of organic crystal lasers, describing briefly the photophysics and figures-of-merit of organicsemiconductor micro/nanocrystals in terms of optical gain properties. The third review by Dr PasiniM. et al. focuses to the use of an emerging class of molecules based on BODIPY in the two mainapplications described in this Special Issue. The original contributions address our topic by differentpoints of view: from chemical development of new materials, photophysical characterisations, andfinal applications.

Abstract
The original contributions address our topic by differentpoints of view: from chemical development of new materials, photophysical characterisations, andfinal applications.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
