The present report summarizes the work carried out in 2020 on the NIO1 experiment at Consorzio RFX in Padova, Italy. Experimental campaigns will be presented together with the activities carried out on various NIO1 subsystems. The activities have been mainly focused on operating the negative source with Cs evaporation.
