The chapter presents a summary of the information available on the wall paintings of the villas of the Sabina Tiberina, relying on published material from the excavations at Cottanello and Vacone, and newly discovered remains during survey work, such as at the villa of Ponti Novi in the Magliano Sabina area. The few fragments of plaster visible on the walls of the villa of San Pietro ad Muricentum in Montebuono are also presented, which show decorative motifs attested elsewhere in the Sabina and dating to, like most of the documented remains, the 1st century A.D.
