Abstract
Traditional papyrology has optimized its ecdotic methods to study papyrological documents (diplomatic edition) and, simultaneously, the corresponding texts (critical edition). Prominent initiatives, such as Papyri.info, are striving to find an optimal trade-off between familiarity for traditional scholars and machine actionability for automatic processing.
