Abstract
Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves are a powerful and flexible tool to identify differentially expressed genes in microarray experiments. By using the conventional area under the ROC curve (AUC) for gene selection, we propose a technique for generating bi-directional rules that allow the identification of different classes of cancer patients or of subjects differentially exposed to carcinogenic compounds.File in questo prodotto:
