One of the major challenges in multiple sclerosis (MS) research is providing simple and reliable biomarkers for disease diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment outcomes. Here we comment on two different points of view on this matter. Most studies focused on transcripts carried inside extracellular vesicles (EVs) circulating in the blood, an easily accessible body fluid. Marcin P. Abstract
Marcin P. Mycko has confidence in thier ability to capture disease activity in MS, based on recent encouraging findings. On the other hand, Matthieu Deltombe and Vincent van Pesch are concerned about the scarse reproducibility of these studies, linked to technical limitations that the scientific community is trying to overcomeFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
