A preliminar list of algae present in two submerged marine cave of Capo Passero Island (South Eastern Sicily) is presented. This study was carried in 1998 and 46 species were found: 25 Rhodophyceae, 9 Fucophyceae, 7 Chlorophyceae and 5 Cyanophyceae.
