Rationalisation of the multi-level data acquisition process, from the very first operations and there- fore during the survey campaign, carried out at the same time as the compilation of appropriate cataloguing sheets, allows greater control over the subsequent restitution and analysis phases and optimisation of the large quantity of data produced by the knowledge process. On the basis of this assumption, a procedure is proposed that, through the simultaneous acquisition of data, both the geometric data derived from the instrumental survey and the information data derived from the multi-level analysis of the built heritage, facilitates the workflow of the operators in the field, reduc- ing the time in the subsequent phases of data management. An innovative aspect lies in the use of Augmented Reality techniques to facilitate in-situ cataloguing by means of digital assets indicating the object to be surveyed and catalogued that are superimposed on the real physical space. The procedure was developed as part of a project to digitise the historic centre of L’Aquila; the results of an experiment conducted during a recent urban survey campaign are presented here to test the validity of the proposed procedure.
La razionalizzazione del processo di acquisizione multi-livello dei dati, sin dalle prime operazioni e quindi durante la campagna di rilievo, svolta in contemporanea alla compilazione di apposite schede catalografiche, consente un maggior controllo sulle fasi successive di restituzione e di analisi e una ottimizzazione della grande quantità di dati prodotti con il processo di conoscenza. Sulla base di questo assunto viene proposta una procedura che, attraverso l’acquisizione simultanea dei dati, sia quelli geometrici derivati dal rilievo strumentale che quelli informativi derivati dall’analisi multi-livello del patrimonio costruito, facilita il flusso di lavoro degli operatori sul campo, riducendo i tempi nelle successive fasi di gestione delle informazioni. L’aspetto innovativo risiede nell’utilizzo di tecniche di Realtà Aumentata per facilitare la schedatura in situ attraverso assets digitali che indicano l’oggetto da rilevare e da catalogare e che si sovrappongono allo spazio fisico reale. La procedura è stata messa a punto nell’ambito di un progetto volto a digitalizzare il centro storico dell’Aquila; in questa sede si presentano i risultati di una sperimentazione condotta in occasione di una recente campagna di rilievo urbano, volta a testare la validità della procedura proposta.
