A monitoring activity, funded by the Apulian Region, was launched in the Mar Piccolo of Taranto for the detection of structural and functional descriptors of the Cymodocea nodosa meadow. This is to supplement the institutional monitoring which responds to the Water Framework Directive and lacks of these important information. The results of a first campaign are here reported and show a good health status of the meadow.
